Three decades ago, I was an anomaly to the film world. During this period, Native American Indians were only employed in the movie industry as extras relegated to merely riding horses and wearing war paint. I was determined to shake things up, and have since been recognized as the first American Indian filmmaker. Growing up, I wanted what most other natives did not; to play college football, earn a degree, and learn how to make movies. Upon graduating from Whittier College with a degree in Visual Anthropology, I then achieved a major in Cinema and Television through USC. I longed for the native voice to be felt and heard, and to provide incredible dramas infused with a bohemian spirit.
I now have more than a dozen films to my credit, from producing award winning documentaries such as Whispers, A Death Valley Marathon, and the Palomino Club to credit as a singer, and acting in both television and film such as Norbit, Men In Black, From Dusk Til Dawn, La Bamba, and many others.I am currently working on my newest film, entitled "Fallen Angels", and am also actively promoting my film "Whispers" at various film festivals and screenings.
